Stott & May is representing an Artificial Intelligence Startup in New York Please note this is a product-facing position, that will not be formally practising the lawWe are looking for highly talented attorneys with a proven background in the Crypto/Blockchain world, or extensive experience with European regulations (MiFID, ESMA or COBS) to join a team comprised of graduates from schools like Harvard, Yale, and Stanford. With the primary goal of making artificial intelligence available to compliance, legal, and regulatory teams at world-leading hedge funds, private equity firms, life science, and pharmaceutical companies.The RoleIn this role, you will sit at the nexus of the law and technology. This is perfect for high-performing attorneys eager to apply their legal expertise, in a position that is closer to the product, where you will contribute directly to it's development, the long-term strategy and the impact it will have. You will work closely with C-level clients to guide them through the intricacies of regulatory compliance, leveraging an AI-powered platform to deliver tailored solutions and business value.Your day-to-day will include:Acting as a legal subject matter expert, advising clients on compliance and regulatory challenges.Translating complex legal and business problems into actionable insights, becoming a trusted advisor to clients.Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including AI engineers, product specialists, and client engagement teams, to enhance client experiences and drive platform improvements.Preparing and delivering tailored insights, client presentations, and in-depth analyses of regulatory frameworks.Engaging in strategic initiatives to elevate our brand, crafting metrics-driven content that reinforces our mission and impact.We're looking for:A J.D. from a top 30 law school and 1-6 years of experience at a leading law firmExtensive knowledge of crypto regulation, or European financial regulations including MiFID, COBS or ESMAA passion for technology and artificial intelligence, with a strong desire to use your experience practising to bridge the gap between law and technologyExpertise in regulation, compliance, or related legal fieldsOutstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.An entrepreneurial mindset, with a proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving.
