Project Safety CoordinatorPosition OverviewThe Project Safety Coordinator assists in implementing safety initiatives under the direction of the Director of Safety. This role involves leading the safety team, addressing safety hazards, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesTraining & ComplianceConduct or coordinate employee training on safety laws, regulations, and OSHA requirements.Assist foremen in managing the Toolbox Topic Program and pre-job safety plans.Program & Supply ManagementManage the Project Orientation Program.Oversee supply levels and distribution of safety equipment, first aid materials, and related items.Safety Inspections & InvestigationsConduct jobsite safety observations and inspections to identify and address unsafe conditions or behaviors.Investigate and review accidents or injuries to develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Employee SupportAssist in ensuring injured employees receive appropriate medical care.Support foremen in daily sign-in/out processes and morning pre-task planning.Stakeholder CommunicationServe as a liaison between the company and general contractors, subcontractors, unions, insurance representatives, and safety agencies.Maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders, including craft workers, supervisors, superintendents, and project managers.Documentation & ComplianceManage project safety documentation and ensure proper record-keeping and distribution.Assist in managing the safety of second-tier subcontractors.Perform additional duties as assigned to meet evolving company needs.Education & QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in a related field OR 2+ years of relevant field experience.OSHA certification preferred.QualificationsProficiency in project and time management.Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment.Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.Proven ability to establish new processes without existing precedents.Technical proficiency with MS Office Suite and job-specific software.Bilingual: Fluency in English and Spanish, written and verbal.BenefitsNo-Cost Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage (for employee, spouse, and dependents).401(k) Plan with Company Matching.Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).Paid Time Off (PTO) + Holidays.Annual Bonus Eligibility.Complimentary Gym Membership (for employee and spouse).Short & Long-Term Disability Plans.CompensationSalary: $72,000-$76,000 per year, depending on experience.
