Director of Pricing

Job DescriptionEssential Job FunctionsOversee the department of Pricing Analysts to include devising and updating goals for the team, hiring, managing performance through employee appraisals, coaching, corrective actions, knowledge transfer, and team buildingDevelop tools and reporting for pricing groupEnsure growth in capacity, while maintaining expected margin and meeting ROIC targetsMake independent design and pricing decisions on new business opportunitiesProvide training, leadership and motivation to employees to further employee developmentImplement, analyze, and monitor processes to ensure goals are metNegotiate rates with customers and coordinates with HGD Sales and Operations Teams when applicableIdentify market trends in pricing and capacityBuild and strengthen relationships with internal and external customersMeet/exceed customer requirements and overall company goalsEstablish transportation programs along with best practices for customer and company needsCommunicates as necessary with other Directors and Vice Presidents to ensure expectations of corporate initiatives are metDuties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned or changed from time to timeMinimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree is preferred in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Supply Chain Management2-3 years of pricing experience is strongly preferredLeading a team of direct reports/management experience is strongly preferredGood organizational and verbal/written communication skillsExcellent analytical skills preferably in intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft Office toolsCustomer service experienceKnowledge of Logistics Design software in the transportation marketSalary Range: $90,000 - $120,000/year base salaryThis is an estimated range based on the circumstances at the time of posting, however it may change based on a combination of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, education, market factors, geographical location, budget, and demand.About UsHub Group is the premier, customer-centric supply chain company offering comprehensive transportation and logistics management solutions.
