This critical role will focus on strategicallymanaging suppliers of varies specialized engineering firms, ensuringcost-effective and timely delivery of services that support the developmentof cutting-edge automotive technologies. The ideal candidate will be aself-starter with a proven track record of success in negotiating contracts,managing supplier relationships, and driving cost reductions.Skills Required: Well-developed negotiation skills in the EngineeringServices category underpinned by detailed contract knowledge. Proficient inmanaging multiple concurrent projects and contracts, including navigatingcompeting priorities and resource constraints. Demonstrated ability to leadnegotiations and support the development of negotiation strategies for largeand complex projects and contracts in engineering services, resulting incost savings and improved contract terms. Excellent level of communicationskills to support cross-departmental and stakeholder liaison. Ability toevaluate and analyze data to enable operational decision-making and presentclear recommendations to peers, suppliers, and executive leadership.Software Proficiency: Ariba (essential), Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables), PowerPoint. Highly organized self-starter with demonstratedleadership skills, leading teams, mentoring colleagues. Customer serviceoriented with a "can-do/will-do" attitude and genuine interest andexcitement for leading innovative change. Ability to build networkrelationships with global cross-functional skill teams (Engineering,Strategy and Project Management Office, Finance, and OGC).Experience Required: 5+ years of experience in supply chain management,with a demonstrable focus on purchasing engineering services. The manager islooking for an Indirect Purchasing Buyer but is open to considering DirectPurchasing Buyers as well. The team supports Engineering Services, MarketingServices, Software Development, Powertrain, Mileage Accumulation, andEngineering Services related to vehicles.Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or arelated field.
