Sto Corp. (Sto), a global innovation leader of building enclosure systems and high-performance facades coatings, is seeking an experienced Color Lab Technician I to provide color matching function for Sto Corp. products. In addition, the Color Lab Technician I is responsible for maintenance of the lab through proper inventory of supplies and maintenance of equipment needed to perform the tasks of color matching.Essential Job Functions (includes, but not limited to):Using established methods and procedures, develops standard and custom color formulas in Sto Corp. and toll manufactured products. Through training and experience, learns the Sto Corp. criteria of workmanship standards for color acceptability.Utilizes proprietary software to log samples submitted, enter color formula information, maintain color chart information, and track color formulation status.Maintains library of retain samples for easy retrieval of color matches.Utilizing established methods and procedures, scales, mixes, applies, and dries samples for color approval.Maintains proper inventory of lab supplies including the scaling of sample materials for color matching process.Maintains clean working environment including clear work surfaces, clean and well-maintained equipment, clearly labeled storage areas, etc.This is not a comprehensive listing of all duties or responsibilities that are required for this job.Experience and Skills:Experience: Prefer 2 years of laboratory experience in an industrial environment.Skills: Dependable, enthusiastic team player with exceptionally strong work ethic and a positive attitude. Excellent math, writing skills and proficient computer skills (MS 365 Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong theoretical and practical color development skills. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Have the ability to communicate and work effectively in an industrial environment. Any knowledge of paint or synthetic stucco chemistry would be an asset. Must pass color blindness evaluation.Education:High school diploma or equivalent required.
