Principal Project EngineerResponsibilities Design, develop, and implement all engineering facets of substation projects, including equipment design, contractor coordination, and testing.Provide technical expertise and leadership for complex substation projectsAnalyze operational and test data to establish benchmarks for newly designed or modified equipment, ensuring compliance with performance specifications.Serve as the go-to expert for resolving design issues, providing leadership and consultation across divisions.Lead significant design projects by coordinating efforts with internal teams, external contractors, and other divisions.Conduct training sessions to share knowledge and enhance team expertise in products, technologies, and best practices.Review and define the scope of development tasks, provide input for company development planning, and serve as the technical consultant for complex challenges.Establish schedules, prioritize tasks, and assign staffing resources with the Engineering Manager to ensure successful project execution.Prepare time and manpower estimates for engineering efforts on proposals and project orders.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with 10+ years of experience in project-based environments.Substation Expertise with advanced knowledge of substation theory, applications, subsystems, field installation, and testing.Proficiency in CAD, engineering analysis software, and MS Office tools for design and project management.Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams, prioritize tasks, and collaborate across diverse groups.Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively communicate with customers and represent the company professionally.
