Palmer Staffing is seeking a Contract Attorney (Corporate & Postal Business Law Section) with a federal agency in DC. Must be able to pass a criminal background check which includes fingerprints, background questionnaire, drug test, and Inspection Service clearance (this process takes about 4 weeks to complete). This project is expected to start mid-late March to December 2025, with the possibility of extension. In-person interviews will take place asap. This position is working on-site Monday through Friday. 40 hours a week. The office is located at the L'Enfant Plaza Metro Station.Status: $30/hour (no overtime unless supervisor approved)Salary: Temporary ContractDuties and Responsibilities:Prepare contracts (as well as modifications) with customers for customized rates for parcel/express services primarily using predetermined templates.Where necessary, work with counterparties to negotiate clauses for customized rate agreements.Collaborate with nonlegal staff involved in contract generation to review clauses.Collaborate with sales force to develop contract templates.Coordinate with the Office of General Counsel on regulatory filings.Ensure satisfaction of regulatory requirements for contract clauses.Job Requirements:JD Degree - an active member of the bar.Excellent writing skills.
