If you want to contribute to meaningful work and be part of an organization that truly believes when you win, we all win, and when you fail, we all learn, then we're eager to hear from you.The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills:Technical responsibility for welding across the organizationDevelopment and control of welding proceduresResponsible for qualifying and maintaining welder certification.Champion audit compliance in particular NADCAP and customer accreditationParticipate and implement Technology Development Plans for new welding and joining technology including robotic welding.Involvement in Design for Manufacture assessments and Design reviewsMetallurgical analysis for weld certification and welder qualificationInvestigate welding related issues to improve product performance and increase productivity.Communicates technical subject matter proficiently, both written and verbally.Create presentations based on process data and results to show opportunities for productivity improvements and cost savings.Provide training and technical support to Welding OperatorsParticipate and lead RRCA investigations and support implementing robust corrective actions.Initiate and drive continuous improvement activities to remove waste and improve efficiency.Develop repair procedures and assess flaws to determine the fitness-for-service of structures.Ability to mark-up, edit, and update specifications for weld processes.Experienced with basic manufacturing processes, methods, and techniques. Particularly in aluminum and steel brazing, welding, and machiningAbility to adapt quickly to high-paced environment.Work ExperienceRequired Skills (Technical Competencies): Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering / aerospace engineering or equivalent. Graduates are welcomed.Minimum of 2-4 years' experienceKnowledge of high-level manufacturing processesProficient in blueprint readingProficient in GD&T as well as a firm background in generating operation sheets.Solumina knowledge and experience preferred.Knowledge of machines and tools required to fabricate and manufacture Sheet MetalKnowledge of processes for cutting, bending, attaching, and welding sheet metal parts, tools, or componentsAnalytical thinker and problem-solverProficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPointExcellent verbal and written communicationOrganized with the ability to multi-task while driving actions to completion.Excellent communication and teamwork skillsSolid computer skills, including Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel.Familiarity with SAP preferred.Significant background relating to welding and technical experience.Good familiarity with expectations associated with aerospace or other comprehensive quality assurance systems, including ISO9000 or AS9100Physical Requirements & Work Environment: Mostly Office Environments and Shop Floor involvement.Moderate amounts of telephone and substantial amounts of computer work.Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.Typical 8-hour days plus lunch / 40-hour weeks/hours are - 2nd Shift (3:00pm - 11.00pm)Ability to use personal transportation to work onsite at the customer location.
