Maternity cover position to serve as the lead US compliance officer for a ~$100bn alternatives house. The business has a diverse portfolio including private debt, credit, real estate & infrastructure and private equity investments.Reporting to the Group Compliance Director in EMEA, the role holder will advise private fund portfolio managers and the SMA advisory business on ongoing regulatory obligations (Investment Advisors Act, Investment Company Act, Securities Exchange Act, etc). This position will manage one individual in the New York office.Experience:Minimum of 5-7 years experience in investment management compliance, preferably within the private funds arena.Ability to work across the full range of compliance advisory, reporting and policy based topics.Strong knowledge of applicable US regulation.Please note this is 'fixed term contract' of 12 months (employed directly by the company), ie not a consultancy position, which requires onsite work 3 times per week in Midtown.Salary: $200,000 - $230,000 plus a discretionary end of contract 'completion bonus'.
