Key Responsibilities:Supervise and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring optimal performance and development.Schedule and assign maintenance tasks, prioritizing safety, efficiency, and production needs.Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.Oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to maintain smooth operations.Monitor and analyze equipment performance, implementing corrective actions as needed.Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA, FDA, USDA, and other regulatory requirements.Promote and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and compliance documentation.Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements within maintenance operations.Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance and reliability.Implement best practices in maintenance management to enhance plant productivity.Oversee maintenance, repair, and operation of refrigeration systems, including ammonia and Freon-based systems.Ensure compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations regarding refrigeration systems, including proper documentation and reporting.Conduct regular inspections of refrigeration units to prevent breakdowns and ensure efficiency.Troubleshoot refrigeration system issues and coordinate necessary repairs or upgrades.Train maintenance staff on refrigeration system operations, safety procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.Qualifications:3+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a food manufacturing or industrial setting.Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems in a production environment.Experience with preventive maintenance programs, CMMS software, and troubleshooting equipment issues.Understanding of food safety regulations (HACCP, GMPs, USDA, FDA).Hands-on experience with industrial refrigeration systems, including ammonia and Freon-based systems, is a plus.Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
