Senior Benefits Analyst Location/Hours: Hybrid 3 days/week on-site in Redwood City, CAPay: $45.80/hr. Duration: 12 months minimum, ideally extending to 18 monthsThe client is seeking a dynamic and motivated Senior Benefits Analyst whose main purpose and function is to provide overall support to the Rewards team to execute our strategy around attracting, retaining and supporting the people who are helping to create that future with a world-class total rewards program. The ideal candidate is someone with 5+ years of experience as a Benefits Analyst, supporting diverse, multi-talented teams at world-class organizations, providing timely and thorough support to employees as it relates to all benefits programs. They should have deep experience in benefits administration and leaves of absence management as well as exposure to the administration of workers compensation claims, relocation programs, and immigration cases. HRIS experience (Workday) is essential to success in the role. Lastly, the candidate should be comfortable with a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, bring good energy, be hungry to learn, and be proactive about figuring out how to make things happen. They should be passionate about executing on big ideas and getting the best out of the people around them.You Will:Support health and welfare plans to include medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability, FSA, HSA, commuter benefits, 401(k), employee assistance programs, and other company benefit plansPartner and assist with managing relationships with third-party vendorsSupport team in coordinating annual Open Enrollment period and processes, system administration, work with brokers and carriers, and prepare employee communication materialsCoordinate wellness events to engage and educate employees on benefit offerings Coordinate an engaging annual activity challenge that encourages employee participation and promotes a healthy workplace cultureSupport benefits orientation during bi-weekly onboarding sessions for new hiresAssist with creation of meaningful and engaging employee communications and manage Benefits page(s) on company intranetAssist with Worker's Compensation and COBRA programsAssist with leaves of absence administration in collaboration with payroll team and third-party administratorsSupport the relocation program to ensure smooth relocation process for employeeSupport the People Operations team with data validation to ensure our HRIS is current and reflects accurate employee informationYou have:A minimum of 5 years of related experience in administration of benefits, including health and welfare, 401(k), and leave administration within a fast growing organizationDemonstrated ability to think critically, analyze, listen, clarify, solve problems and work independentlySolid Google Suite skillsWorkday experience strongly preferredFunctional knowledge of Human Resources business processes (benefits administration, payroll, etc)Knowledge of current State and Federal benefit rules and regulationsKnowledge of group life and health; knowledge of federal regulations such as Section 125, HIPAA, ERISA, and COBRAStrong and effective communication. Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills developing, building and maintaining strong business partnerships.Superior analytical skills and understanding of human resource and financial issues and best practicesAbility to handle high level of confidentiality regarding employee informationExcellent planning, time management, decision-making, presentation, organization and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously critical to the success of this role
