Position Description:As a Personal Injury Attorney at our firm, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of personal injury cases, overseeing the entire litigation process from intake to trial, and ensuring maximum recovery for your clients. The ideal candidate is someone with substantial experience in handling both pre-litigation and litigation cases, is comfortable in the courtroom, and is capable of working independently while collaborating with the team to achieve favorable outcomes.Your role will include evaluating cases, conducting investigations, negotiating settlements, and preparing cases for trial. You will handle depositions, motions, and other pre-trial tasks, as well as lead the preparation for trial, including working with a trial team, handling expert witnesses, and performing jury selection.Key Responsibilities:Case Management & Litigation: Independently manage a full caseload of personal injury cases, from intake to resolution, including pre-litigation and litigation matters.Client Intake & Investigation: Conduct initial client meetings, evaluate potential cases for viability, direct investigations, and determine insurance coverage.Discovery & Motion Practice: Prepare and serve written discovery, including follow-ups with opposing counsel regarding deficiencies. Handle all aspects of motion practice, including dispositive motions such as motions for summary judgment and motions to dismiss.Negotiation & Settlement: Evaluate each case for Full Settlement Value, negotiate aggressively with insurance adjusters, and keep clients informed throughout the process.Trial Preparation & Trial: Lead a trial team in preparing trial documents, pretrial motions, and assisting in jury selection. Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and trials as necessary.Team Leadership: Supervise paralegals, legal assistants, and other staff members. Ensure timely review and approval of all work generated by the team.Communication & Reporting: Keep clients informed of case progress, report on status to senior leadership, and participate in regular case strategy meetings.Qualifications:Licensure: Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the Texas State Bar.Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience litigating personal injury cases in Texas (plaintiff or defense), including trial experience.Case Management Skills: Strong aptitude for managing multiple clients, projects, and deadlines with a focus on organization and follow-through.Litigation Experience: Preferential consideration for candidates with deposition, hearing, mediation, and federal court experience (PACER experience a plus).Independence & Leadership: Ability to work independently, manage cases from start to finish, and lead a team of paralegals and legal assistants.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with an eye for detail and adherence to deadlines.Work Hours: Availability to be in the office Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and additional hours as required to manage the caseload and attend meetings, hearings, or trials.What We Offer:Competitive salary, based on experienceComprehensive benefits package, including:Health, dental, and vision insurancePaid time offA dynamic, supportive work environment that emphasizes work-life balance and professional growth.Opportunity to work on complex, high-profile personal injury cases, with the autonomy to manage your own caseload and trial practice.Pay: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per yearBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceAbility to Commute:Bellaire, TX 77401 (Required)Ability to Relocate:Bellaire, TX 77401: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
