The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. This role will be hybrid in Omaha, Mountain View, or Dublin, Ireland. We are looking for a Senior Instructional Designer and Knowledge Manager to join our team of Trust and Safety Learning and Knowledge Professionals. You will be responsible for developing top-notch learning opportunities, evaluating current learning and knowledge materials, programs, and practices, and measuring the success of those programs. Additionally, you will work to upskill other members of the team. Responsibilities Instructional Design/Training 20% Understanding and examples of using best practices and adult education methodologies to develop learning programs, including: structure, assessments, needs analysis, and processes including ADDIE (or any continuous improvement process). Experience evaluating and improving multi-day and multi-week training programs. Must have exceptional skills in developing both instructor led and eLearning courses using Articulate Storyline 360. Must bring exceptional skills in at least one of the following areas: video production, podcast production, learning game design, or graphic design (portfolio of the work will be requested). Experiencing facilitating in-person and virtual training classes. Has a track record of coaching others and increasing the skills of those around them. Knowledge Management 40% Understanding of Knowledge and Content Management best practices and theories. Development and execution of both a Stakeholder Engagement Plan and a long term Strategic Plan for Knowledge Management program. Execution of the above plans with recommendations of resources, tools and processes. Demonstrated experience in weaving knowledge management into an existing organizational fabric. Data Analytics 20% Demonstrated background in collection, analysis and presentation of data to senior leaders. Background in using data in decision-making. Experience using a data analytics tool (Tableau, Power BI). Stakeholder Management/Engagement 20% Experience writing and executing project plans of various sizes in large complex organizations according to project management standards and methodologies (Six Sigma, PMP). Experience working with stakeholders across organizations to move projects. Experience in defining the timelines and metrics for the project along with milestones. Basic Qualifications BA/BS degree in Knowledge Management, Instructional Design, Education, or related field, or equivalent practical experience 3+ years of instructional design or knowledge management experience. Experience in complex project management and execution Experience with using Tableau, Power BI or another data analytics tool. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Knowledge Management, Instructional Design, or Education 5+ years of instructional design or knowledge management experience. Exceptional skills in at least one of the following areas: video production, podcast production, learning game design, or graphic design. Certification in PMP, Six Sigma or another project management certification. Experience managing company wide, large scale, high impact programs Experience managing multiple and concurrent projects executed through multiple geographic locations Experience within the Trust and Safety sector. Experience within the Technology sector. Exceptional skills in public speaking and oral presentation Suggested Skills Instructional Design and Training Knowledge Management Stakeholder Management LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $116,000 to $176,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
