Our clothing can be found at major retailers including TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, Forever 21, and more. The company is growing and looking for a full-time, Associate Hosiery & Intimates Designer to join the team on-site at their Midtown Manhattan office.ResponsibilitiesWork with Head Designer on all facets of the product design cycle for both Hosiery & IntimatesAbility to sketch accurate design flats on Adobe IllustratorDevelop and design new ideas and create visually pleasing design CADSCreate accurate and detailed tech packs.Daily review and follow up with factories on garment life cycle, from lab dips & strike offs to Pre-Production and TOP samples.Proactive market and trend research to always be on top of market trends.Attend Buyer meetings with Head DesignerAbility to adhere to calendar to ensure deadlines are metTrack and manage sample statusMaintain Organized files and library of samplesBuild collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams including production and sales.QualificationsDegree in Fashion Design3+ years experience in Hosiery and / or Intimate DesignKnowledge of Hosiery and / or Intimate design constructionProficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and ExcelAttention to detail, sense of urgency, willingness to learn, team-playerExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment
