Our client, a major publishing company specializing in scientific, technical, and medical content, is actively looking for a UX Researcher to join their team in Philadelphia. This is a hybrid position, on site two days a week in downtown Philly. This begins as a 6 month contract with an opportunity to extend or convert at any time Responsibilities:What you will do: · Creatively solve problems and define research strategy:Develop research strategy in partnership with design and product leadership.Proactively plan and organize recruitment in partnership with our ResearchOps team.Apply the right research method to the appropriate goals, and project scope.Coach designers in research as needed. Lead & conduct research:Guide evidence-based research strategy, representing UX Research on cross-functional working groups; collaborate closely with UX Design towards "symphony" moments.Lead user-centered research, inspiring the team to consistently deliver product improvements and innovations based on impactful research.Set engaged pace for iterating research every sprint cycle.Proactively use data to speak to assumptions and risks. Focus on the customer:Gather, evaluate, and develop a solid understanding of customer use cases and needs, focused on search enhancement at the point of care.Understand competitors, market segment needs in greater detail with the help of partner teams.Collaborate with product and design to inform product strategy grounded in user needs. Qualifications:Bachelors degree and 5+ years of relevant UX Research experience either at an agency or in-house. You know a variety of research methods and can differentiate when to use which method..You can lead large scale complex research, in linguistically diverse contexts.You have a proven track record of working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.Experience working with executive-level stakeholders and influencing business strategy.Possess a portfolio of polished case studies illustrating their concrete impact across.
