Merchandising Exec - Supply Chain (Luxury Goods)

Job Title: Merchandising and Supply Chain ExecutivePerm PositionJob Summary:The Merchandising and Supply Chain Executive will be responsible for developing and executing supply chain and merchandising strategies to drive sales and optimize inventory management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the jewelry industry or with fashion consumer products, with a strong focus on gold jewelry and product development. This role requires a strategic and analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Key Responsibilities:Trend Recognition & Assortment Analysis: Identify emerging trends and analyze customer assortments to inform design and development decisions.Sourcing & Procurement: Identify and negotiate with suppliers to ensure a steady flow of materials and products, assess supplier performance, and manage relationships.Inventory Management: Track inventory levels to meet customer demand efficiently while minimizing excess stock.Logistics Coordination: Oversee transportation and warehousing to ensure cost-effective and timely product delivery.Demand Forecasting: Analyze market trends, sales data, and customer behavior to optimize inventory and production planning.Quality Control: Ensure products meet quality standards and address any issues with defective or substandard goods.Financial Management: Manage budgets, control costs, and analyze financial performance related to merchandising operations.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales and production teams to align supply chain and merchandising strategies with overall business goals.Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks within the supply chain to ensure business continuity.Performance Analysis: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of supply chain and merchandising activities, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.Industry Engagement: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance merchandising and supply chain operations.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Merchandising, or a related field.Proven experience in supply chain and merchandising within the jewelry industry or fashion consumer products.Prior experience in the gold jewelry industry is a plus.Demonstrated expertise in product development, from concept to market launch.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Strong organizational and time management skills.This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and strategic thinker who can bridge supply chain and merchandising functions to drive business growth.
