The ideal candidate must be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who has extensive experience within a licensed preschool.This is a Direct Hire position with the schoolMonday - Friday; year-round employmentSalary$70,000 - $80,000/year pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experienceBonus potential based on multiple performance factorsBenefitsMedical, dental and vision insuranceLife insurancePaid HolidaysPaid Time offGenerous childcare discounts (limited availability and conditions apply)Company paid training and professional development programFantastic growth opportunities available through job rotation, lateral move, and special project assignmentsJob ResponsibilitiesLeadership: Provide visionary leadership and oversee all aspects of the preschool's daily operations including staffing and curriculum integrityRegulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and licensing requirements, maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment for childrenOperational Management: Manage classroom schedules and coordinate the management of supplies, equipment, and materials necessary for classroom activities and operationsBudget and Financial Management: Monitor expenditures and ensure that resources are used efficiently and within budgetMarketing and Enrollment: Lead marketing efforts and community outreach to promote the preschool and attract new students; assist with enrollment processes, including tours, application reviews, and orientation for new families; ensure accurate and up-to-date enrollment records; maintain communication with prospective familiesParent Communication: Foster positive relationships with parents and families, maintaining open and transparent communication channelsQualificationsREQUIRED Education: Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or an education-related field; Bachelor's degree preferredREQUIRED Credentials: Center Director credentials per WAC or be willing to get them shortly after joiningREQUIRED Leadership Experience: At least 3 years of continuous Early Childhood Education (birth to 5-years-old) Center Director experiencein a licensed facility with at least 100 enrolled studentsREQUIRED Management Experience: Experience managing at least 30 employees in a licensed Early Childhood Education (birth to 5-years-old) facilityMust have a thorough knowledge of WA Licensing regulations (WACs) for childcare centers and a great understanding of developmentally appropriate practicesMust be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations - for Infant and Young Toddler classrooms, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a cribMust meet background check eligibilityNote: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
