As Stellantis US Air and Environmental Compliance Specialist, ensure that US Production have appropriate air emissions permits to install and operate in compliance with all applicable air pollution laws and regulations, including emissions control equipment, monitoring, maintenance, and reporting. Work with regulated facilities to ensure that ongoing compliance is maintained, and all reporting is completed. Review proposed or new programs to determine permitting requirements. Work with consultants to prepare and submit required permit applications. Oversee the compliance of all US operational facilities for compliance with Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) reporting requirements. Monitor air and other regulatory initiatives for Ohio, Indiana, Illinois to identify new requirements and potential impact on included facilities. Support air compliance aspects of Mexico operations.In general, responsibilities include:Support US Plant Environmental Specialists to ensure compliance with air permits and applicable air pollution control laws and regulations. Provide requisite training to provide an understanding of air quality management issuesAnalyze to determine permit requirements, work with plant and consultants to prepare draft air emissions permitsNegotiate permit requirements with applicable government regulatorsReview planned construction projects and conduct regulatory and operational analysis (exemption analysis) to determine potential permit implications. Lead or manage the preparation of permit-to-install (PTI) applications (if appropriate)Monitor relevant regulatory changes and update associated Bulletins accordinglyComplete additional duties as necessary to ensure operations are conducted in compliance with permit and regulatory requirements, such as working with facilities to address audit findings and prepare responses to regulatory agency requests for informationAct as the primary liaison between the company and regulatory agencies during the permitting of new projectsReview air permit required reports to the appropriate regulatory agenciesOversee the compliance of all US operational facilities for compliance with Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) reporting requirementsWork with project and operations teams to find technical solutions to operational challengesMake presentations, when necessary to senior management staff and regulatory agenciesWork collaboratively with consultants, vendors and other parties to ensure that projects are completed to meet operational requirements while complying with air permits and applicable rules and regulationsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in relevant engineering or technical fieldMinimum of eight years of experience in the environmental compliance field with at least five working directly in the area of air emissions compliancePreferred Qualifications:Postgraduate degree, PE or other applicable technical certification (such as CHMM)Experience interacting and negotiating with State Regulatory AgenciesExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees within all areas of the Plant from hourly represented employees to Senior Leadership as requiredDemonstrated ability to coach / mentor / develop team membersDemonstrated leadership skills and experience managing skilled and technical employees
