Position Overview:The Operations Manager will lead and manage the company's operational divisions, including Inventory and Engineering. This role will collaborate with VP of Sales and Marketing to ensure products and services are ready to deliver to our customers and the Director of Purchasing to coordinate the sorting of newly purchased materials and share management of shipping and receiving department. The Operations Manager is responsible for hiring, firing, managing, and holding accountable their direct teams while driving performance and ensuring key KPIs are consistently met. This role is part of the executive leadership team and has future growth potential to advance to Director of Operations.Key Objectives:Implement robust production planning and scheduling processes, tightly aligned with sales forecasts, to meet customer demands with precision and efficiency.Optimize and ensure that the seamless execution of the order fulfillment process, enhancing accuracy, speed, and customer satisfaction.Lead the Pick-n-Ship Ready initiative, ensuring that all inventory is meticulously organized and ready for immediate dispatch, upholding our commitment to same-day shipping.Oversee quality control functions, ensuring adherence to ISO standards across all divisions and functional areas, and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.Coordinate effectively with the Purchasing Manager to optimize sorting and shipping/receiving processes.Core Responsibilities:Operational Leadership:Lead and manage the Inventory Division and Engineering Divisions, with a key focus on production planning to achieve pick-and-ship readiness for the top 300 SKUs by the end of 2025.Oversee production planning aligned with sales forecasts to enhance accuracy, speed, and customer satisfaction.Ensure robust inventory management and maintain quality control standards within all divisions.Coordinate with the Purchasing Manager to ensure efficient sorting processes and streamlined shipping and receiving operations.Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.Team Management:Hire, manage, and develop a high-performing team within assigned divisions.Conduct performance reviews, provide regular feedback, and ensure alignment with company culture and goals.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Collaborate with the VP of Sales and Marketing to align production schedules and inventory levels with sales forecasts, ensuring timely and high-quality product delivery.Partner with the Director of Purchasing to synchronize inventory, sorting, and shipping processes with operational needs.Work with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.Continuous Improvement:Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and employee engagement.Oversee the adoption of new technologies and automation to enhance productivity and quality.Customer-Focused Leadership:Ensure customer needs are met with precision and timeliness.Uphold commitment to "The Right Part, The Right Model, The Right Quality, Right Now."Collaborate with customer service teams to address and resolve issues promptly.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.5 - 7 years of experience in a similar role.Extensive experience in production planning and quality assurance management.Proven track record of leading teams, managing performance, and achieving operational targets.Strong experience in hiring, firing, and developing talent.Knowledge of ISO standards and compliance requirements.Familiarity with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) is preferred.
