Operating Engineers Funds Inc. ("OEFI"), located in Pasadena, CA, is seeking an experienced Developer Analyst, Benefits Administration ("Analyst") to maintain, support, improve and develop software solutions for several business departments. This includes researching, designing, documenting and modifying software specifications throughout the production lifecycle including the Hyland OnBase, Bridgeway ServiceXG and Beacon Spyglass software environments. The Analyst will also analyze and amend software errors and provide status reports where required. The Analyst reports to the Director of IT, Applications and PMO.Operating Engineers Funds Inc. is a non-profit corporation that administers the employee benefit programs for over 20,000 members of the International Union of Operating Engineers (I.U.O.E.) Local 12, and their dependents and beneficiaries. The Operating Engineers (Local 12) Funds are multi-employer funds that have been established through collective bargaining agreements between the employers and Local 12. The funding for the benefits provided by OEFI is set by the bargaining parties. OEFI is governed by a Board of Trustees equally comprised of Union and Employer appointed representatives. Visit for more information about the organization.ResponsibilitiesSpecific job duties include (but are not limited to):Obtaining a high degree of proficiency within the Hyland Cloud OnBase, Bridgeway ServiceXG and Beacon Spyglass applications.Responding to requests from OEFI staff for assistance with OnBase, ServiceXG and Spyglass.Troubleshooting and resolving issues utilizing OnBase, ServiceXG, Spyglass systems, utilities and support systems and processes.Performing daily system maintenance. Assisting in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications. Researching and documenting requirements of software users. Recommending, scheduling and performing software improvements and upgrades. Writing, translating, and coding software programs and applications according to specifications. Running and monitoring software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, identifying areas for improvement and debugging, performing critical analysis of test results and delivering solutions to problem areas. Reporting to management on the status of software development.Writing/maintenance of programming scripts to enhance functionality as necessary.Liaising with network administrators and systems administrators to assist in resolving software issues.Maintaining regular attendance and punctuality.RequirementsThe ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:Work Experience: Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in defined benefit operations or other related retirement plan administration.Educational Background: Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree or certifications a plus.Special Skills or Credentials: Working technical knowledge of programming languages (SQL, JavaScript, DB2, .NET, Visual Basic, etc.).Experience with Hyland OnBase software environment and workflow designs.Experience with Bridgeway ServiceXG software.Experience with Beacon Spyglass software.Experience with automation software.Hands-on experience working in integrated development environments. Extensive experience with operating systems and databases. Hands-on software troubleshooting experience. Experience with Taft-Hartley and Multiemployer Plans.Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. Experience with specific phases of the software development life cycle. Familiarity with software development methodologies. Flexibility and adaptability in learning and understanding new technologies. Ability to conduct research into software related issues and products. Highly logical with proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Technical proficiency.
