R&D Food Technologist

Our client, a growing Food Manufacturer, is seeking an experienced R&D Food Technologist join their team in Orange, CA!Location: Orange County, CAJob Type: Direct-hirePay rate: $25-$27/hr.Responsibilities:Create and adjust food products and production processes, incorporating new ingredients and technologies.Assist the Director and Senior Food Technologist in managing and overseeing projects assigned to Associate Food Technologists and Technicians.Push projects from the queue to the lab for completion with approval from senior management.Participate in meetings and emails regarding upcoming projects and active projects being worked on.Help revise and review product formulas, product specifications, and finished goods specifications.Assist the Director and Senior Food Technologist during customer meetings or calls.Stay updated on current consumer trends, new ingredients, and technologies to develop innovative product concepts.Requirements:Strong understanding of food science, GMP, food safety best practices, and manufacturing processes.2 + years of professional experience in food science.Familiarity with kitchen equipment used for research and development.Experience with ERP, WM, and inventory management software (preferred).Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Experience with HACCP and SQF standards is essential.Ability to ensure compliance with FDA regulations regarding food safety, labeling, and quality.Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide direction to the team to accomplish tasks efficiently.This job description is a complete list of all desired skills, but not all are required.
