Manufacturing Production Planner / Buying Coordinator

FPD Company, a subsidiary of Trigon Holding, Inc., is currently seeking a Production Planner / Buying Coordinator. Located in McMurray, PA, FPD Company is a global manufacturer of forged and machined titanium components for the aerospace and medical industries.We are looking for an experienced Production Planner / Buying Coordinator to plan and prepare production schedules and procure component parts for manufacturing. This position will be responsible for coordinating with production, materials, quality, and finance departments to improve operational efficiencies, purchasing functions, reporting, and ERP system integrity. Responsibilities Include:· Release forge, assembly and machine shop orders to the manufacturing floor· Perform purchasing functions such as quoting, purchase order creation, placing orders with suppliers and expediting when needed· Monitor all customer orders and ensure on time delivery· Support Procurement Manager in maintaining a list of approved suppliers and ensuring quality certifications are updated· Perform customer contract reviews to determine new component requirements· Purchase material based in accordance with ERP requirementsQualifications:· Bachelor's degree in business or 2 to 3 years' experience in operations, supply chain or support area preferred· Knowledge of lean manufacturing or APICS practices· CPM/CPSM certification from Institute of Supply Management a plus· Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP system preferred· Experience with Infor CloudSuite / Syteline Manufacturing software a plus· Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively present information in company-wide meetingsWe offer a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, life & disability insurance, profit sharing 401(k), vacation & personal floating holidays. Equal Opportunity Employer
