Tax Counsel | BigLaw Spinoff

Our client, a preeminent tax litigation boutique with a national presence, seeks a Counsel level or Junior Partner attorney to join its team. The successful candidate will service clients that include global institutions, high net-worth individuals, and Fortune 500 companies from a broad spectrum of industries such as healthcare, technology, real estate, finance, energy, and more. The firm has achieved ground-breaking wins in court and has a reputation for the effective representation of clients in high-stakes and cutting-edge California tax litigation. The team is close-knit and includes attorneys who formerly practiced in BigLaw (McDermott, MoFo, BakerMcKenzie) before being drawn to a boutique practice that provides more mentorship, career development, business development training, autonomy, room for growth, and client interaction. The desired candidate will work well with others, be detail-oriented, and have extensive experience in state and local tax.This role has the flexibility to be remote to start, with a generous timeline for relocation to Los Angeles. Base compensation depends on experience and potential book of business: $350k-$400k+.
