Biotechnology Production Manager

Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking candidates for a Production Manager at a Biotechnology company located between Columbus and Akron Ohio. The overall responsibility of the Production Manager is to supervise members of the Production team and oversee the aseptic production of the company's products. Job Responsibilities:Manage the day-to-day operations of aseptic manufacturing of various productsSchedule and manage employees on the manufacturing teamHire, retain, train, and develop the manufacturing teamDevelop a culture of safety and safe practicesManage inventory levels and expiration dates and adjust inventory to meet customer needsWork with Building and Equipment Maintenance to keep production equipment functioning and in good repairPerform preventative maintenance and maintain an inventory of critical partsWork with other Managers to resolve manufacturing problems/issuesWork with Quality Manager on process improvement and implementationWork with R & D in development of new productsQualifications:Knowledgeable and experienced in aseptic techniqueAbility to train Production Associates in the techniques required for aseptic manufacturingWork experience in a clinical microbiology or microbiology food testing laboratory Work / Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirableMechanical skills and problem solving abilities are requiredGood record keeping skills and the ability to forecast and maintain inventory of product is a mustCommunication and interpersonal skills are also requiredThis is a Direct Hire position with pay commensurate upon applicable education and experience.
