Independent Safety Consultant

Progressive Safety Management (PSM) is a loss control and safety management consulting firm. PSM provides consultative services in the South East and Mid-Atlantic Region (NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, TN, WV, VA, DC, MD).Progressive Safety is seeking an Independent Safety and Loss Control Consultant to work on an independent contractor basis in many locations across our operations. Individuals will provide clients with health and safety strategic support. Responsible for complex technical work in a wide range of health or safety disciplines to achieve clients desired goals and objectives. Recommends improvements in complex processes, design, procedures, and operating equipment to minimize the hazard potential. Develops and conducts health and safety training, job site inspections, risk control assessments, hazard surveys, etc. Must be client focused and have an entrepreneurial spirit.Location: Atlanta, GARate:$60.00 - $75.00 an hour (based on qualifications, credentials, and experience)Flexible: Full-Time or Part-Time = Very Independent Role...you manage your time and Client workloadType: Independent Contractor (1099)Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, health, safety or other related field of studyMinimum 10+ years of EHS consulting and/or relevant industry experienceOSHA 500 and 501 CertificationMust have a solid understanding of Casualty InsuranceMust have excellent writing and communication skillsMust be proficient with MS Office SuiteDesired Qualifications:Advanced degree in safety and health, business, risk management, other related technical field or business5+ years' experience in construction, manufacturing, oil & gas, utility, insurance industriesPossess Professional Certification(s) (CSP, ARM, CIH, CHMM, PMP, etc.)
