Beacon Health System is seeking a dynamic and innovative Director of Transfer Center Operations to lead, develop, and optimize our patient flow strategies. This role is vital in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of patients into and throughout our health system. Our core values"”Trust, Respect, Integrity, and Compassion"”drive our service goals: personally connecting, keeping everyone informed, and being a strong team player.Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Strategic PlanningProvide vision and direction for patient throughput activities, ensuring optimized and safe patient flow.Monitor Transfer Center dashboards and develop action plans for continuous improvement.Direct and evaluate Transfer Center personnel to align with organizational goals.Assess and integrate cutting-edge operational systems, including AI and Teletracking technologies, to advance patient flow outcomes.Represent the Transfer Center on interdisciplinary committees to drive system-wide enhancements.Actively participate in emergency operations and Incident Command Center processes.Operational Excellence & Team ManagementLead the Transfer Center Steering Committee to drive operational efficiencies, load leveling, and patient placement solutions.Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality plans for effective patient transfer operations.Manage departmental budgets and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.Recruit, train, evaluate, and mentor staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.Oversee scheduling and staffing to maintain optimal operational performance.Resolve patient flow concerns efficiently and act as a liaison for service recovery efforts.Leadership Competencies:Drives Results: Achieves outcomes, even in challenging environments.Customer Focus: Builds strong relationships and delivers patient-centered solutions.Instills Trust: Gains confidence through integrity and authenticity.Collaborates: Develop partnerships to achieve shared objectives.Communicates Effectively: Tailors communication to meet audience needs.Qualifications & Experience:Education: Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.Certification: Lean Six Sigma certification is highly desirable.Experience:Proven leadership in healthcare operations, patient throughput, or transfer center management.Strong project planning and organizational skills.Data analysis expertise to develop action plans for process improvement.Proficiency in technology, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration across departments.Working Conditions:Office-based with professional healthcare environment engagement.24/7 operations require schedule flexibility.Join Our Team!If you are a strategic, results-driven leader passionate about improving patient flow and healthcare logistics, we invite you to apply.
