Senior Associate - M&A + Tax

One of our clients, a well-established firm based in Charlotte, NC, specializing in tax, estate planning, real estate, commercial transactions, and finance, is seeking an experienced attorney to join their Corporate, M&A and Tax group. The firm is dedicated to delivering top-tier legal solutions for private corporate clients and businesses, and this is an exciting opportunity for the right person to come in and provide immediate value while maintaining great work-life balance. This role involves sell-side and buy-side commercial transactions for private corporate clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mergers and acquisitions and complex tax matters. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS:Structure and execute on M&A deals. Review and draft contracts and corporate documentation with precision and attention to detail. Provide corporate and partnership tax advice on deals and other structures. Opportunity to help mentor less experienced associates. QUALIFICATIONS:4+ years of experience in deal structuring and tax work. Demonstrated expertise in M&A transactions in law firm private practice. Strong analytical skills and the ability to lead transactions and navigate complex legal and financial matters.Experience in tax not required but strongly preferred.Required Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
