Senior Digital Business AnalystHouston, TXHybridJob SummaryUnder supervision of the Team Leader, acts as a liaison between technical staff and business owners. Coordinates with users to determine and document business and user requirements, process flow definitions, and functional specifications. Responsible for document repositories, maintenance, and updates of project documentation library. Assists project team with gaining business user acceptance. Reviews progress and evaluates results for accuracy and efficiency. The Business Analyst role works directly with the Product Owner to conduct discovery and analysis of features and functionality of a digital platform that utilized OT/IA/SCADA and specifically Ignition. The practitioner works closely with other functions"”including design, user experience, and technology"”to discover, analyze, and document current-state knowledge, feature gaps, and potential solutions. They also collaborate with the Project Manager and Product Owner to define, prioritize, and plan the product and development Roadmap.Specifically, the person must have recent experience working on software application development projects where they are responsible for defining and documenting the application requirements, working with development and quality assurance teams for a successful deployment. The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communications skills. Additionally, the candidate should have experience in developing functional and technical software requirements and use cases in complex software development and integration projects. The candidate must be comfortable interacting with both front-line and senior stakeholders to discuss business needs and to facilitate a clear understand of issues and their priority.Superior Documentation skills and Organizational skills are paramount. Must have a driven, intellectual curiosity to understand and anticipate functional issues as systems are integrated. Selected hire will have significant business process change experience and functional command of systems integration efforts coupled with exceptional Use Case Development skills. With heavy documentation behind business process changes amidst the technical integration, the selected hire must have experience with project/process documentation and an ability to create a functional library of cross-referenced documents. The selected hire will have exceptional verbal & written communication skills, be comfortable interacting with Sr. Leaders in Business and Technology, and be proactive in eliciting information, probing for details, and foreseeing technical / stakeholder challenges before they occur.Job Location Corporate Headquarters - Downtown Houston, TXHybrid 4x/week in office Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the assigned essential duties satisfactorily. ScrumExperience with Ignition platformImportant DifferentiatorsExperience in all phases of a project development lifecycle in a fortune 500 company working in a larger team setting (> 5 team members)CBAP or CCBA certificationExpertise in development of use case Experience acting as a project coordinator and ability to work independentlyExperience in a Quality Assurance role, or a role that closely interacts with QATraining and training documentation developmentData analysis and/or database skills with MS SQL and/or OracleUser interface/user experience design backgroundStrong written and verbal communication skillsEffective communicator with the ability to lead and influence othersProficient in Jira, Confluence, Agile methodologies, incl.
