About Us:Siegelman Stable is a family-owned business, fusing harness racing and luxury contemporary fashion. A portion of all proceeds goes to equine therapy programs. We are seeking a Designer to handle all aspects of the design process and drive the development of our unisex, menswear, and womenswear collections with a focus on woven garments.Job Overview:As the Designer, you will be solely responsible for the entire design process from concept to final production. This includes everything from research and sketching to fabric sourcing, technical design, and sample approvals. You must be highly skilled in woven garment design, possess strong organizational abilities, and thrive in a small, fast-paced team environment. This role requires exceptional creativity, hands-on execution, and the ability to independently manage multiple projects while maintaining the brand's aesthetic and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Research market trends, fabrics, and emerging styles to inform and innovate designs.Develop and present seasonal concepts, mood boards, and sketches.Create technical sketches, select fabrics and trims, and ensure proper specifications.Source fabrics and trims, ensuring quality, availability, and cost-effectiveness.Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs) for the production team.Draft and maintain detailed tech packs for production.Work closely with pattern makers and sample makers to refine fit, construction, and quality.Conduct fittings and provide detailed fit comments and revisions.Oversee the sample development process from start to finish.Communicate directly with factories to ensure timely and accurate production execution.Maintain organization of design files, fabric libraries, and sample archives.Manage all aspects of the design process independently, ensuring each collection aligns with the brand's vision and commercial goals.Qualifications & Skills:5+ years of experience in fashion design, with a focus on woven garments.Strong expertise in designing for unisex, menswear, and womenswear categories.Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant design software.Deep understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and fabric performance.Ability to independently manage multiple projects and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Passion for contemporary fashion and a keen eye for detail.Must be self-sufficient, highly organized, and able to take full ownership of the design process without a team.
