Together, we contribute to the success of one of the fastest growing and largest publicly traded, pure play renewable power platforms in the world while supporting decarbonization and greater energy sustainability to facilitate the global transition to a net-zero.About the RoleReporting to the Senior Vice President Global Procurement and Development, the Senior Manager, EPC Procurement is responsible for leading strategic supplier relationships with Brookfield's largest EPC suppliers and fostering collaboration Brookfield's Portfolio Companies to ensure the successful execution of projects. This role is pivotal in managing our EPC relationships and collaborating with our portfolio companies to secure strategic supply agreements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in EPC procurement and a deep understanding of the renewable energy sector.Key ResponsibilitiesEPC Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with solar, wind and BESS EPC contractors to ensure high-quality, cost-effective procurement solutionsStrategic Sourcing: Collaborate with portfolio companies to identify and leverage opportunities for strategic sourcing, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and drive resultsCross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Brookfield's Portfolio Companies and corporate office to ensure alignment with procurement strategies and seamless execution thereof. Provide new Portfolio Companies support when required in establishing or developing upon their internal EPC procurement approachProcurement Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies that align with the company's long-term goals. This includes identifying opportunities for innovation, sustainability, and cost reduction within the procurement processContract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for major EPC contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that align with company goalsSupplier Evaluation: Assess and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards, cost parameters, and project timelinesMarket Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends and developments in the renewable energy sector to identify new opportunities and mitigate risksData-driven approach: Develop and maintain KPI's to track and report key functional metrics to reduce cost and/or improve effectivenessKnowledge and Experience Required10+ years Procurement experience, with 3+ years of experience in Renewable Energy with a focus on EPC utility-scale development projectsA university degree / college diploma in Procurement/Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or Project ManagementStrong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to manage complex procurement projects and drive cost savings and efficienciesPossess a deep working knowledge of the renewable energy US EPC landscape. Knowledge of EPC markets outside of the US is considered an assetPossesses a strong understanding of procurement contracts along with excellent negotiation skills, with particular experience negotiating EPC agreementsUnderstanding of ITC and PTC tax credits would be considered an assetExceptional stakeholder management skills with proven track record of developing and executing a successful EPC procurement strategyIn-depth knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract lawProfessional designations including but not limited to PMP, P. Eng, or a recognized Supply Chain Certification is considered an assetNote: Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield's identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 4 days to perform most effectively.
