The Logistics Manager will act as a supervisor by overseeing the entire supply chain purchasingand distribution process. They take and manage the inventory of products stored within thewarehouse. They will collaborate closely with product suppliers and clients to build strong andlong-lasting relationships. The Logistics Manager will typically handle the entire delivery processof products by scheduling both inbound and outbound shipments and constantly monitoringthem to make sure each product arrives on time.Essential Functions? Coordinate all inbound and outbound international freight? Communicate effectively with Customs and Customs brokers? Troubleshoot any issues with shipping or Customs documentation including, but notlimited to commercial invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and sustainablecertifications (as relevant)? Create and maintain contact with vendors and customers to ensure timely shipment anddelivery of goods? Interact with third-party logistics service providers such as warehouses, Customsbrokers, transportation companies, steamship lines, etc.? Audit freight cost and documentation, including 7501? Ensure accuracy of shipping documentation? Ensure all invoices from suppliers are received, reviewed, and processed in a timelyfashion? Review and approve contract-related invoices for processing by Accounting? Monitor and coordinate import ocean containers, troubleshoot problem shipments,formulate solutions, and notify the appropriate parties? Recommend and implement processes and concepts to improve efficiencies and costsavings? Supervise inbound and outbound logistics staff? Reconcile monthly physical inventory? Coordinate and reconcile annual inventory audits? Establish and maintain strong cross-departmental communication and collaboration? Ad hoc shipment support and Ad hoc reporting related to tracking performance andforecastingCompetencies? Knowledge of geopolitical atmosphere, current events, and understanding of tradeprograms? Proficiency with ERP systems (or integrated trading and accounting systems)? Strong analytical skills with intermediate MS Excel proficiency? Strong written and oral communication skillsCA residents salary range is $75k to $85k, all other states $65k to 75k
