For more information, please visit us at or check us out on LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.About the Role To lead and manage the global Intellectual Property (IP) practice, with a primary focus on trademark portfolio management, brand protection, and anti-counterfeiting enforcement. This position oversees all aspects of trademark, copyright, and patent clearance, filing, prosecution, and enforcement while developing and executing robust anti-counterfeiting and counterfeit prosecution strategies worldwide (excluding China). While primarily transactional, this role will also manage IP dispute resolution and litigation matters as needed.Responsibilities Oversee global trademark portfolio management, including trademark searches, registration, maintenance, and enforcement strategies to protect MGA Entertainment's brands. - 50%Develop and implement anti-counterfeiting strategies, including working with law enforcement, online marketplaces, and customs authorities to combat counterfeit products and brand infringement. - 30%Provide legal counsel on IP matters related to product development, ensuring compliance with trademark, copyright, and patent laws while mitigating infringement risks. - 10%Consult on all aspects of the IP merchandise licensing program, ensuring brand integrity and legal compliance. - 10%Qualifications Must have a degree from an ABA-approved law school and be duly licensed. Patent practice certification is a plus.10+ years of experience as an Intellectual Property attorney, with a strong emphasis on trademark law, brand protection, and anti-counterfeiting enforcement.Experience in the consumer products industry is highly desirable.Expertise in global trademark registration, IP enforcement strategies, and counterfeit prosecution.Ability to develop and execute large-scale anti-counterfeiting initiatives, including working with legal authorities and online platforms.Understanding of IP licensing practices and contracts therefor.Proven ability to manage an IP legal team, implement effective processes, and oversee budgeting and cost management.Required Skills Strong knowledge of U.S. and international trademark laws, brand enforcement, and anti-counterfeiting regulations.Excellent judgment and decision-making skills with a strategic, proactive mindset.Well-organized, flexible, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently.Strong interpersonal skills and a team player mindset, fostering collaboration across departments and external partners.Preferred Skills This role is critical in protecting MGA Entertainment's iconic brands and ensuring a proactive approach to trademark management and anti-counterfeiting enforcement on a global scale.Pay range and compensation package Pay range or salary or compensation.Equal Opportunity Statement Include a statement on commitment to diversity and inclusivity.
