In this role, you will transform our application support operations from the old-fashioned reactive break-and-fix model to a strategic partner that helps the business gain a competitive edge through technology-driven innovations.You must support Orion's core values: Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Teamwork, and most importantly, build upon the all-important foundation of Integrity.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Data Warehouse Architect: The principal individual responsible for managing and optimizing data warehouses to support business intelligence, reporting, and data-driven decision-manovation Catalyst: Promote a "Business First" mentality within the data warehouse and advocate for innovation and creativity in AI, automation, data ingestion, transformation, reporting, and process improvement.Relentless Project Manager: Propel data-related projects according to industry best practices and ensure that they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.Automation SME: Spearhead the implementation of process automation, data integration, and analytics solutions to unlock new possibilities.Cross-Functional Champion: Foster seamless collaboration with the business teams, ensuring expansion of usage of the existing system and smooth deployment and user adoption of the application syspliance Guardian: Manage data administration, technical diagrams, and procedures according to IT controls. Must be familiar with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) audits.Vendor Relationship Manager: manage and oversee relationships with third-party business vendors. Core skills must include strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, cultural awareness, financial management, and contract management.Employee of the Company: Other duties as assigned.POSITION REQUIREMENTSNon-TechnicalUnparalleled ability to venture into the unknown - research, self-education, and exploration of new technologiesA creative and innovative mindset with an overwhelming desire to improve existing processes and leverage technology for automation and optimizationAbility to consistently excel and deliver results that exceed expectations under minimal supervisionExcellent skills in proactiveness, communication, analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking TechnicalBachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent 5-year experience plus current certifications, such as PMP and Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst AssociateA minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in application support and a proven track record of success, specifically in project management and supporting business data warehouses, SSRS reporting, PowerBI, and CRMHighly skilled in SQL language, database design, data analysis, data warehousing, and data modelingExperience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and automation tools (e.g., Robotic Process Automation)In-depth experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, CoPilot, etc.Knowledge of accounting and financial principles and experience with Dynamics, InEight, Coupa, Salesforce, and financial planning tools are highly preferredCertifications in Project Management, Microsoft, and ITIL are highly desiredOther RequirementsAbility to work in a customer-focused IT team with a strong "Users First" and "Business Enabler" mentality.Must be willing to be on call and occasionally work nights, weekends, or holidays.Occasional travel to support company needs and to remain current with applications and vendor relations is required (Not expected to exceed more than 5% of work time).Language skillsFluent verbal and written skills in English.Fluent in Spanish is highly desired.EMPLOYEE SAFETY AND COMPLIANCEResponsible and accountable for the incumbent's own personal safety.Responsible and accountable for the safety of all co-workers and any other incumbents with whom they come in contact.Authorized and obligated to stop work on any task or series of functions whenever an unsafe condition or situation is anticipated or plies with all applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies and procedures and is subject to appropriate disciplinary action (including dismissal) for failure to do so.Reports any and all violations of applicable laws, regulations, or Company policies and procedures promptly and is subject to appropriate disciplinary action (including dismissal) for failure to do so.Performs other related administrative and technical duties as may be assigned or requested by immediate supervision (such as certification training, safety training, procedure review, etc.).All employees, current and former, must maintain confidentiality by not disclosing to others any confidential, proprietary, or trade secret information belonging to the Company.
