LaSalle Network has partnered with a growing beauty retailer, headquartered in NYC, to hire a contract Video Editor to help with video and media initiatives. Our client is a brand made up of creators, stylists, and chemists who are obsessed with creating the best products to achieve healthy hair. As a contract Video Editor, you will play a key role in crafting visually compelling video content that brings the brand's products to life. Collaborating closely with the art director and the broader creative team, you will produce high-quality, engaging video assets that showcase our client's unique identity, captivate target consumers, and enhance the overall brand experience. This role requires strong video editing with motion graphics skills, along with a keen eye for detail and storytelling. Please note this is a hybrid and contract opportunity.Video EditorResponsibilities:Translate storyboards into dynamic video content by accurately executing visual sequences, timing, and motion to align with the creative directionEdit tutorials, behind-the-scenes footage, and product-focused content for social media, digital campaigns, e-commerce, and brand storytelling assetsWork closely with the Associate Art Director, Video and Animation, to ensure all video content aligns with the brand identity and creative visionCollaborate with the Creative, Social, and Marketing teams to execute video content that supports brand initiatives and product launchesEnhance video content by integrating transitions, text animations, and visual effects in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, while also incorporating music, voiceovers, and sound effects to create a cohesive and engaging storytelling experienceAdapt video edits to different formats and aspect ratios for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other digital platforms, while maintaining creative integrity and qualityMaintain attention to detail in color correction, sound design, and overall video quality to ensure a polished final productMaintain a structured file system for raw footage, edited projects, and final deliverables to keep video assets organized and easily accessibleStay up to date with beauty industry trends and evolving video styles to push creative boundariesVideo EditorRequirements:2+ years of professional video editing experience, preferably within the beauty, fashion, or lifestyle industryProficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus)Strong understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and brand-driven content creationExperience with social-first content-TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts-and knowledge of trends and best practices for each platformStrong sense of typography, motion design, and color correctionAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple projectsSelf-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while maintaining attention to detail Please apply today if the above applies!
