Bradley Professional is currently seeking a Dispatch Supervisor for a great company located in Rialto, CA. Our ideal candidate is someone who manages a fleet of 15 drivers that can be a leader. Someone that is familiar with Interviewing, Hiring, Documenting Issues and is familiar with DOT Regulations. This person will be responsible for performing all functions necessary within the shipping/transportation are to schedule transportation of all outbound and inbound freight, including raw materials and finished goods. Supervisory Responsibilities:Hires and TrainsSupervises clerks with the shipping departmentFabricate and oversee the daily schedules, workflow and assignments within the shipping departmentConducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructiveHandels discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policyMaintain DOT compliance of shipping department. Essential FunctionsMaintains knowledge of best practices including the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methodsIdentify 3rd party haulers for most efficient shipping routesMaintains knowledge of regulations related to transportation including those related to hazardous shipments, employee safety and freight classificationsReviews and analyzes expenditures and other financial information; uses reults to develop and implement plans, policies and budgets. Orders aggregate. Sand, cement, rockProvide customer service support as necessary; respond to cutomer inquiries and problems in a timely mannerWork closely with customers, sales representations and operations to coordinate schedulingEmbrace strong work ethics personally and throughout copany and client teamsCreate dispatch ticket for all outbound loadsPlan shipping forecast and maintain the dispatch board/scheduleMaintain shipping logEnsure truacking needs are met by scheduling transportation and communicating with various internal and external stakeoldsConfirm scheduled transportation resources, make changes as necessaryPick and laout load lists ensuring products are shipped effciently and fullyPrint and track bills or lading, reviewing for accuracyMaintain detailed records of shipping progress, history and forecastingProduce shipping notifications and weekly shipping schedule to plant personnelCultivate strong relationships with customers and driversMonitor route changes and road conditions and collaborate with logistics company to establish or revise delivery routesAlways maintain neat and orderly work areasEmbrace strong work ethics personally and throughout companyDeals effectively with frequent delays, unexpected events and changes in/or approaches/methods to best fit the situationUses time efficiently, sets goals and objectives; develops relaistic action plansLooks for way to improve and promote safety and quality; monitors own work to ensure quality, accurace and thoroughness; conserves organizational resourcesSafety and communicationsReport to management on any damages/discrepancies with inventory; AuditsRequired Education and ExperienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAdvances customer service skillsBilingual a plusStrong supervisor and leadership skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong logistical, analytical and problem solving skillsProficient with MS Office Suite or related softwareGeograpical knowledge of service area or map reading skillsKnowledge of industry if recommended but not requiredBachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Related field, and/ore three years of proven work experinece as a Transportation Supervisor Experience and/or training in customer service, dispatching or project management or equivalent compbination of education and experience
