With a focus on safety, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence, we are committed to providing high-quality service to our clients while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment for our employees.We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Operations Manager with proven experience in managing cross-dock operations to lead our team at our Newark facility.Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Operations Manager with expertise in cross-dock operations for our fast-paced, high-volume drayage and intermodal services. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring seamless cross-docking processes, and optimizing efficiency within our intermodal transportation network. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, a deep understanding of cross-dock operations, and a proven track record of managing teams to meet service and safety goals.Key Responsibilities:Oversee Cross-Dock Operations: Manage and streamline the cross-docking process, ensuring smooth coordination between inbound and outbound shipments. Work closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and logistics teams to reduce delays and optimize throughput.Team Leadership: Lead a team of operational staff, including cross-dock personnel, drivers, and logistics coordinators. Provide direction, training, and support to ensure high performance and compliance with company policies and safety regulations.Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance operational processes to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction. Identify bottlenecks and implement strategies to resolve operational issues.Inventory Management: Oversee the management of inventory moving through cross-dock facilities. Ensure proper tracking and documentation of shipments.Client & Vendor Relations: Foster strong relationships with customers, vendors, and third-party partners. Ensure that service level agreements (SLAs) are met and customer expectations are consistently exceeded.Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all operations are carried out in adherence to safety protocols, federal regulations, and environmental standards.
