Job Summary:We are seeking a hands-on VP ofOperations to oversee daily operations in our growing medical device manufacturing facility. The facility is ISO certified, and FDA registered. This role is responsible for production efficiency, quality control, workforce management, and ensuring a safe, productive work environment. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a problem-solving mindset, experience in manufacturing operations, and a willingness to step in and participate hands-on in manufacturing processes when necessary.Key Responsibilities:Production & Operations Management:• Plan, coordinate, and oversee all manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and quality.• Primary customer contact, prepare quotes, review invoices, and respond to questions or concerns.• Set and monitor production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.• Manage facility staff and scheduling.• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.Team Leadership & Workforce Management:• Supervise, train, and support production staff to maintain high performance and morale.• Ensure proper staffing levels and coordinate work shifts as needed.• Foster a positive workplace culture with a focus on teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.Quality & Compliance:• Enforce quality control standards to ensure all products meet company and customer specifications and regulatory requirements.• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies.• Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high-quality output.• Participate in ISO, FDA, and customer audits.Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination:• Manage inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished products.• Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.• Optimize supply chain operations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.Financial & Administrative Input:• Work with the CEO and CFO to build a production forecast and manage budgets, production costs, and operational expenses.• Assist in strategic planning to support business growth and profitability.Qualifications & Skills:• Proven experience in operations or production management in a manufacturing setting.• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement techniques.• Familiarity with ISO and FDA regulations and quality control standards.• Excellent communication and organizational skills.• Proficiency in inventory management and basic financial reporting.• Ability to work in a hands-on environment.Preferred Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, engineering or a related field (preferred but not required, experience is more important than degree).• Experience with ERP systems or manufacturing software.
