POSITION DESCRIPTIONOrganization: The Summit Counseling CenterPosition Title: Director of OperationsLocation: Johns Creek, GAReports to: Executive DirectorSince 1990,The Summit Counseling Center (The Summit)has been a trusted community partner; bringing hope, healing, and restoration to children, teens, adults, couples, and families.The Summit provides professional counseling, psychological services, school-based mental health, and community education servicesutilizing an integrated approach to care for individuals and families - Body, Mind, Spirit, and Relationships.Position Overview:The Director of Operations and Administration provides oversight of the day-to-day non-clinical operations of The Summit Counseling Center, reporting to and supporting the Executive Director and serving a member of the Leadership Team. You will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of essential business operations, communication, and administrative support systems to support sustainable growth. You will work with team members across the entire Center, geographical, and professional community and in a leadership capacity. A knowledge of non-profit, healthcare and behavioral health sectors is highly desirable.Role Responsibilities:Operational Oversight, Administrative Management, Administrative Support & ComplianceManage organizational systems, including data management, performance monitoring, communications, technology, accreditation and facilities.Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as professional accreditation standards.Provides administrative support for the Executive Director, personally, and for the Leadership Team when functioning as a group.Develop and implement policies and procedures for reporting, performance management and operational efficiency.Oversee grant compliance and formal agreements with partner organizations in collaboration with relevant leadership team members.Drives the Re-accreditation process (with the Solihten Institute) through project management, planning and policy development. (Re-accreditation happens every 4 years and the next one is due in April 2026.)Evaluate and enhance technology infrastructure to support current and future organizational needs.Client Experience ManagementSupervise the Operations Manager, Front Officeand Client Engagement staff, ensuring efficient policies and procedures.Optimize staffing, workflows, technology, and service delivery to support sustainable growth.Ensure policies comply with ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards in a behavioral health environment.Financial & Data Reporting ManagementCollaborate with the Director of Finance & HR to maintain fiscal policies and provide timely financial reports to the Board, leadership and partner advisory boards.Assist in operational planning and budget development.Serve as a super-user for the practice management system and oversee financial and data analysis staff.Coordinate reporting with Finance and Clinical Services leadership to ensure accurate data on production and compensation.Support ongoing strategic planning by conducting surveys, studies, research, etc. to analyze, assess and respond to identified organizational, programming and staff needs.Conduct research and analysis to support strategic planning and operational improvements.Experience and Skills:Bachelor's degree is required. Master'sdegree is preferredin either Businessor in a Mental Health or Healthcare discipline. Minimum 5 years of overall professional experience required, including:Medical and/or Behavioral Health Operations.Non-profit financial management.Human Resource administration.Operational/administrative management, including demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis, information technology, and legal.Demonstrated experience workingon a collaborative management team.Equipment and ApplicationsHardware: Computers and peripheral equipment (Microsoft Environment)Software and Web-basedtools:Microsoft 365 (Outlook,OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams and relatedApps)Valant Practice Management & Electronic Medical Records, and other designated software applicationsTelephones, copiers and other officeequipment.Benefits:•403(b)•Dental insurance•Health insurance•Paid time off•Vision insuranceIt should be noted that this position has a Bona-Fide Occupational Qualification (BFOQ) in the area of religion in compliance with U.S. Code Title 29, Chapter 14, Section 623.
