CDIM Engineering, a growing environmental engineering and consulting firm, is seeking an energetic and versatile environmental geologist to support us with contaminated site projects. We want to mentor an individual with 6+ years' experience into a high-quality professional and manager. The ideal candidate will take ownership of planning and implementing current CDIM projects and will help develop new work with existing and new clients. Primary job duties and responsibilities include: Plan, implement/oversee, and document field activities including drilling and soil, soil gas, groundwater, sediment and/or air sampling; Evaluate data to support conceptual site models, delineate the nature and extent of contamination, and modify and optimize long-term-monitoring programs; Supporting site assessment/remediation, hydrogeology, and environmental risk management studies and services in both the field and office; Supporting engineering remediation system design including vapor intrusion mitigation systems and other soil, soil vapor, and groundwater remediation systems; Perform various technical analysis and studies which may include database development and data manipulation, groundwater modeling, geospatial analysis; Preparing technical reports, proposals and cost estimates; and Develop and manage scope, budget and schedule; oversee subcontractors; interface with senior personnel, clients, regulators, and subcontractors. Required skills and qualifications: Bachelor's or master's degree in geology; 6+ years of experience in the environmental industry; Professional license (PG); 40-hour HAZWOPER certification; Knowledge of California and federal environmental regulations and experience with their implementation, including interfacing with regulatory agencies; Knowledge of and experience with environmental investigations and remediation technologies; Knowledge of soil and experience with water, soil and air quality, including contaminants, regulations, and treatment processes; Excellent independent professional judgement and interpersonal skills; and, Capable of communicating clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing The position is based in CDIM's San Francisco office and employees home office, and the successful candidate should expect regular travel to client sites throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
