Core Responsibilities:Mix DesignOversee and participate in Mix Designs for Hot and Cold Mix AsphaltManage Recipe Portfolio / Maintain JMF SubmittalsQuality Control Build and manage daily testing plan at each Asphalt Plant to manage the quality of the following:Virgin AggregateUnprocessed RAPProcessed RAPAdditivesAsphalt Binder (AC)Plant Recipe FilesQuality AssuranceComplete Internal and Regulatory testing on completed Asphalt (some examples /metrics listed below)GradationBinder Content / Performance GradeAir Voids / Moisture / Mix TemperaturePerformance TestingDensity / Compaction / WorkabilityVisit Active job sites to verify qualityVisit completed customer projects to monitor long term quality of Pavement MaterialsResearch & DevelopmentGenerate and Execute research projects to reduce COGS, increase mix quality, increase sustainability, boost recycled content and help grow new product linesAdditional Duties:Oversee Field Density testing on paving sitesOversee Coring of asphalt for analysis Manage applicable grant reporting obligations associated with Lab activitiesUpdate and enforce SOPs to be used by all Lab personnel
