This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of metals traffic operations, ensuring seamless execution in a fast-paced environment. The position requires managing diverse stakeholder requirements while maintaining strict adherence to operational procedures and compliance standards.Job Responsibilities:Manage and optimize global transportation logistics for base metalsOversee the execution of physical trades, ensuring seamless coordination of customer deliveries in alignment with industry best practicesHandle account management, including regional market oversight, customer requirements, and inventory monitoringNegotiate deal financing, review and negotiate Letters of Credit, and manage supplier paymentsTrack ocean vessels and review laytime calculations in accordance with charter party termsNegotiate transportation rates and provide quotes to support new business developmentJob Requirements:Bachelor's degree required.Experience with charter party terms and clauses is preferred.Strong negotiation skills with an understanding of industry vetting standards.2-4 years of experience in transportation logistics, operations, customer service, and/or project management is preferred but not required.Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Keen attention to detail with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.Proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, work location, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
