We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Gold Buyer to join our team and help us expand our gold purchasing operations. Required References: At least 1-2 professional references will be required as part of your application. We may contact your references during the interview process or prior to offer being made.Job Description: The Gold Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the inventory of gold products. This role requires a strong understanding of gold valuation, market trends, and customer relations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent negotiation skills and a passion for the precious metals and jewelry markets. We are looking for someone who can work full-time, and preferably weekends (Saturdays). Key Responsibilities:Evaluate and purchase gold items, including jewelry, coins, bullion, and luxury watches ensuring fair pricing and quality standards.Conduct market research to stay informed about gold prices and trends, adjusting purchasing strategies accordingly.Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, and vendors.Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and guiding clients through the selling process.Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries about services, and company policies, ensuring accurate and helpful information. Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory levels, and transactions.Collaborate with team members to develop promotional strategies for gold buying.Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and ethical standards in gold purchasing.Qualifications:Experience in buying gold or working in the jewelry/pawn industry is preferred.Excellent negotiation and communication skills.Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Comfortable working in a corporate office setting, sitting for long periods of time at a computerAbility to be proactive and willing to learn and cross-train in different departmentsPay$25-35/hrIndividual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
