Maize Transformation Scientist

NAPIGEN, Inc., a company driving cutting-edge genome editing technologies in crop plants, is seeking to fill a full-time scientist position to conduct maize transformation and develop enabling traits by organelle gene editing.Responsibilitiesinclude: Reliably perform DNA transformation into maize organelle genomes and regenerate plants from tissue culture cells.  Design assays and conduct molecular analyses of tissue culture and transformants. Frequently communicate with a team of scientists to design and implement experiments. Enthusiastically engage in overall scientific discussions. Requirements A Ph.D. in plant biology, genetics, or molecular biology is required with a minimum of two years of postdoctoral research. Experience with maize tissue culture and regeneration is required. Experience in the latest gene editing methodologies is desirable.
