Russell Tobin's client a leading global eyewear manufacturer and retailer is hiring a Medical Claims Coordinator in Mason, OH 45040 (Hybrid)Employment Type: ContractLocation: Hybrid - Mason, OH 45040 (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (with 30-minute lunch break)Duration: 07+ months with the possibility of extension (Temp to Perm)Pay rate$20-$21.42/hrJob Description:The Medical Claims Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the submission, management, and resolution of medical claims for one or more doctor practices. This role involves working with an electronic health record (EHR) system and clearinghouse, ensuring claims are accurately processed, payments and denials are posted, and any necessary adjustments are made.Job Responsibilities:Review and submit medical claims to insurance carriers via the practice's EHR system and clearinghouse.Address rejected claims, adjust, and resubmit claims as needed.Post payments and denials from insurance carrier EOBs into the EHR system.Investigate denied claims and take appropriate action for resubmission.Analyze aging reports, research open balances, and ensure claims are resubmitted within filing deadlines.Collaborate with insurance carriers to resolve claim denials and obtain status updates.Coordinate with the clearinghouse to distribute patient billing statements and monitor payments through the patient portal.Process overpayment refunds to patients and repayments to insurance carriers as needed.Write off open claim balances in the EHR system.Serve as the primary point of contact for all medical claims inquiries.Assist the corporate manager in maximizing claim collection rates.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required.Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing and claims processing, with a focus on vision claims and coding.Solid understanding of medical billing processes, including claim adjustments and re-submissions.Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and prioritize tasks efficiently.Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening).Skills & Attributes:Experience with medical vision claims coding and billing.Cash application experience.Familiarity with EHR systems and clearinghouses.Preferred skills:Vision billing experience preferred.Benefits that Russell Tobin offers:Russell Tobin offers eligible employees comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance, and hospital indemnity), a 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, identity theft protection, legal support, auto and home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with some preferred vendors.
