Contract Length: 12 months Contract (with potential to extend)Job Overview:We are seeking a Clinical Research Phlebotomist to join our Clinical Pharmacology & Pharmacometrics Research Unit. This position offers flexible shifts, including day, PM, AM, and night weekend shifts, depending on the contract schedule. While the position operates 24/7, there is no guarantee of hours, and shifts are assigned bi-weekly.Key Responsibilities:Review study protocols and comply with study-specific activities to ensure research integrity.Communicate professionally and appropriately with study subjects and unit personnel.Maintain accurate and complete source data for all study-related activities.Perform phlebotomy (blood drawing), sample processing, ECG collection, and vital sign monitoring as outlined in study protocols.Collect height, weight, and other required data as part of clinical assessments.Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure the safety and well-being of study subjects at all times.Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), FDA regulations, and basic Good Clinical Practice (GCP) requirements to maintain compliance.Shift Details:Open 24/7 with 8-hour shifts.No guarantee of hours; some weeks may have no shifts, while others may have 4 or 5 shifts.Shift options: Day shift for training, followed by PM, AM, and Night shifts, with weekend availability required for contract shifts.Bi-weekly schedule updates.Minimum Education Required:High School Diploma or equivalent.Preferred Education:Clinical Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, military medic with recent clinical experience, or a higher-level qualification in a related field.Minimum Experience Required:1-2 years of experience in a clinical or research environment, or in a patient care setting.1-2 years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical, research, or hospital setting.Top Skills & Requirements:Phlebotomy: Proficient in blood drawing techniques and handling specimens.Lab Work: Knowledge of basic laboratory processes and protocols.ECG Collection: Experience in performing electrocardiogram (ECG) assessments.Vital Signs Collection: Proficient in measuring and recording vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, respiratory rate).Clinical/Hospital Setting: Experience working in a clinical or hospital environment, preferably with patient-facing roles.Additional Skills/Requirements:Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients, clinical staff, and research teams professionally.Strong attention to detail, with a focus on maintaining accurate records and ensuring safety and confidentiality.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to adapt to changing workloads and shift demands.Physical Demands:Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as phlebotomy, vital sign collection, and ECGs.Must be able to lift and move light to moderate equipment.Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods during shifts.About US Tech Solutions:US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
