We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Denim Design Director to join our dynamic team at Mamiye Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fashion design, specifically within the denim sector, and will bring a creative vision that aligns with our brand ethos. This role requires a leader who can drive innovation, oversee the entire design process, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive brand storytelling and high-quality product development. JOB DESCRIPTIONLead the end-to-end design process, overseeing denim, non-denim, and jacket programs from concept development and trend research to sketching, fabric selection, sample development and production fit.Define and drive the overall creation and innovation for the brand, ensuring alignment with brand ethos, target audience, and market trends.Collaborate closely with the Creative Director to create seasonal mood boards, establish fabric direction, silhouettes, color, and wash palettes.Oversee the creation of cohesive collections reflecting the brand's aesthetic and meeting market demands while staying within target price goals.Translate insights into actionable design strategies to keep the brand ahead of the curve. Maintain and update denim wash archives, ensuring a deep understanding of denim washes, construction, fabrications and treatments.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, merchandising, production, and sales to ensure alignment and cohesive brand storytelling.Maintain high standards of quality and craftsmanship across all product categories.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum 7-10 years of experience in fashion design with a focus on women's denim.Proven track record of success in a design leadership role, with experience leading design teams and developing commercially successful sales.Strong creative vision and ability to translate trends into innovative design concepts.Excellent sketching and illustration skills, proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and other design software.Deep understanding of garment construction, fabrication, and manufacturing processes.Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment , multitask effectively and meet deadlines.Proficient in Photoshop; knowledge of illustrator, Excel and Simparel is a plus.
