Senior Avionics EngineerLos Angeles, CAWe are working with an exciting Space client who are looking to Develop one of the key enabling technologies that will make Humans a multi-planet species!In this role, you will lead a team responsible for the design, manufacture, and test for Space bound Avionics. Responsibilities:Prototype PCBAs for motion control, power management, and radio communicationDefine & justify system requirements, conduct trade space analysis, and document decisionsDesign, manufacture, assemble, and test prototype hardware on rapid iteration timelinesSelect or invent firmware standards to meet fault tolerance and reliability specificationsInterface with adjacent teams to integrate hardware into corresponding mechanical subsystems, with an emphasis on ease of manufacturing and meeting frequent system integration pointsDetermine qualification and acceptance testing criteria with common published testing standardsRequired Qualifications:Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering2+ years of experience building, testing, and debugging PCBAs for Space HardwareDesire and capability to lead a fast and well coordinated teamDesirable:Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering3+ years of experience building circuit boardsExperience in developing low BOM cost electronics for deep space applications, including knowledge of techniques for low cost component selectionExperience up-screening low cost components for space applicationsDesire and capability to develop hardware on rapid timelinesDesire and capability to own hardware from prototype to productionDesire and capability to build test support hardware (custom harnessing, fixtures, etc.) and facilitate test campaigns.If you are interested then please apply today!
