You will use your experience to defend auto, premises and general liability claims. An ideal candidate will have strong organizational and multi-tasking skills and work well in a fast paced, high volume litigation setting. Even more exciting, you will have a hands on role in growing the firms presence in South Georgia and will be tasked with identifying talent to assist in future growth.ResponsibilitiesProvide legal support to clients and assist Partners in handling litigation casesMaintain a caseload of litigation files and manage/meet all deadlinesResearching/briefing complex litigation issuesPreparing and arguing motionsTaking an active role in litigating cases including depositions, mediation and trial preparationMaintain client relationshipsPrepare legal reports and documentsSupervise and assist with the firm's growth in South GeorgiaMeet a billable hour requirement of 1750 hoursQualificationsLicensed in Georgia to Practice LawLitigation experience (ideally handling auto, premises or general liability matters) preferredStrong communication, analytical, critical reasoning and interpersonal skillsGrowth mindset and adaptabilityWillingness to learn and ability to work within a team in a fast paced environmentDiversity At GMKEGMKE is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees, fully complying with state, federal, and local laws that prohibit discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, genetic information, age, disability, or any other status protected by applicable law.
