POSITION SUMMARYThe Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the company's financial operations. This role plays a key part in managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes to support business decisions. The Staff Accountant will work closely with the finance and leadership teams to ensure financial integrity, streamline accounting processes, and provide insights that contribute to overall company growth. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This individual will be responsible for tracking financial performance, maintaining financial controls, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Our people's success is the key to our growth.Job Responsibilities:Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principlesPrepare and process journal entries, including accruals and adjustmentsAssist in month-end and year-end close processesPrepare financial reports for management reviewManage Accounts payable function including routing invoices, generating check runs, and vendor/job complianceAssist in generating pay applications and tracking of accounts receivableManage credit card payable functionConduct bank and account reconciliationsAssist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysisSupport tax preparation and compliance with local, state, and federal regulationsEnsure proper documentation and record-keeping for auditsCollaborate with other departments to streamline financial processesAssist in payroll processing and reconciliationAssist in various office management dutiesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field2-4 years of accounting experience (preferred)Experience in the construction industry (preferred but not necessary)Proficiency in accounting software CMIC and Microsoft Excel (preferred)Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principlesExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving skillsStrong organizational and time-management abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamEffective communication skillsBenefits:Competitive salaryHealth Insurance401k matchingProfit SharingPaid time off and holidaysCareer growth and professional development opportunitiesRelaxed and flexible culture with work-life balance
