Learn more about us (3) LER TechForce: Life | LinkedInWhat you will be doing: Developing and implementing best practice calibration solutions and performing diagnostic verification testing.The Engine OBD Calibration Engineer will manage all technical aspects of the OBD diagnostic calibrations to meet CARB regulations, identify system requirements during system hardware design to insure a robust diagnostic system, and use standard instrumentation toolsets for data acquisition, storage, and analysis.They will calibrate diagnostic thresholds to meet CARB regulations, develop and track calibration solutions that meet system functional objectives, identify system requirements during system hardware design to insure a robust diagnostic system.Utilizing a multi-functional tool chain, requiring familiarity with; Stellantis in-house developed calibration tools -- I-Box, DC Plot & HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testersIndustry standard calibration tools (ETAS INCA, MatLab, CANalyzer)Provide regular overview summaries and detailed reports on specific assignments, including timing projections.The candidate should expect to travel 4 - 8 weeks throughout the year for system validation/verification.In site position, not remote.What you'll need to be successful: Essential: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent from an ABET accredited university2 Years or more experience in Powertrain systems calibration development, OBD calibration on spark ignition enginesKnowledge of internal combustion enginesWorking knowledge of calibration tools (INCA /ATI), emissions regulations, and powertrain technologies.Fundamental knowledge in MatLab / SimulinkOutstanding problem solving and analytical skillsGood teamwork skills and ability to work independentlyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations to upper managementOnsite 3-5 days per weekPreferredMaster of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Master of Science in Computer Science from an ABET accredited university2+ years of experience in engine development, powertrain systems development /engine calibration /control systems development / diagnostics within the automotive industryHardware in the loop development /verificationCalibration process knowledge using design of experiments and advanced optimization techniquesUnderstanding of CARB diagnostic regulationsProficient in advanced simulation toolsProficient in MatLab / SimulinkKnowledge/Understanding of CAN Communication protocolsWhat you'll get: Full benefits: medical, dental, vision Short-term & Long-term disability, life insurance Competitive Paid time off package
